ENA/EarlyNutrition Workshop "Analysis of Child Growth Trajectories"

Leading international scientists came together for a workshop on child growth trajectories on January 14th and 15th, 2013 in Munich.
The international Research Workshop on "Analysis of Child Growth Trajectories ", held at LMU’s Center for Advanced Studies, focused on the analysis of childhood growth. Renowned experts from pediatrics, anthropology, epidemiology and statistics discussed interdisciplinary new methods of analysis. By means of a detailed analysis of the kinetics of childhood growth the relationship between early childhood diet and later health can be explored.

The participants were, just to name a few: Tim Cole (London), Mary S. Fewtrell (London), Keith Godfrey (Southampton), Matthew W. Gillman (Boston), Berthold Koletzko (Munich), Michelle Lampl (Atlanta), Wendy H. Oddy (Australia), Ken K. Ong (Cambridge), Emilio Ferrer (Davis), David P. MacKinnon (Tempe), Daniel S. Nagin (Pittsburgh), Nolwenn Regnault (Paris) and Peter Rzehak (Munich).

The workshop was organized by the Dr. von Hauner Childrens hospital with assistance of the Harvard University, the Center for Advanced Studies and the German Research Foundation (DFG). The results will be published in scientific journals.
